Exciting News! Isobel is expecting a baby in November 2021.

As many of you may have heard, I am pregnant and I am expecting a baby in November! Unfortunately, this means I am no longer accepting any new customers.

For all my existing customers, if your horse is booked in, I have not yet stopped working and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Due to the physical nature of being a farrier and the daily strains pregnancy involves, I’m now working approximately half the hours I previously worked, gradually winding down until the end of August 2021 where I will stop working entirely and start maternity leave.

I have been contacting all my customers and discussing ongoing options with them regarding future appointments. I have a farrier called David Spreadbridge who is taking on most of my work, though I will still be taking bookings and payments as usual.

Additionally, farriers Abbie and Ollie will also be taking on a few jobs on the edge of my area, but they will be taking bookings and payments themselves.

I will be giving all of them all details about every horse to make the switch as smoothly as possible.

Luckily, David will be helping me out until I stop working and he’s looking forward to meeting lots more of you.

Thank you for your patience, please do contact me with any questions!

My name is Isobel, an experienced and fully qualified farrier in Hampshire.

I am a fully qualified farrier with 7 years experience in the industry. I have worked and trained alongside some of the UK’s finest farriers, passing my WCF Diploma examinations of the Worshipful Company of Farriers in 2015. I offer shoeing and trimming services and warmly welcome new customers.

It all started with a passion for riding and keeping animals, this led me to become a farrier today. Having owned horses from the age of eleven, I really care about the animals I work with – their welfare is at the forefront of my farriery.

After having broken into an industry typically dominated by men, I’m passionate, devoted and determined – establishing my own business serving customers in Hampshire.

Thank you for taking the time to visit – to make an appointment, if you have any questions, comments, feedback, or would like to get a quote, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I undertake all aspects of shoeing for all disciplines – including full and half sets available to every customer. Whether you own a horse for personal leisure or as part of a yard, all ponies and horses are welcome.

Every horse is different – I work with all of my customers to provide the correct shoe type for their horse. From hot and cold shoeing to remedial or corrective shoeing, your horse’s welfare is paramount. Basic pricing starts at:

£75 – full set
£50 – front & hind trim
£40 – front only

Additional extras and variants such as stud holes, pads, grips, etc. are charged separately. A call-out fee may be applied if outside my normal working areas.

In addition to my shoeing services, I provide a barefoot trimming service for horses in or out of work starting at just £25.

Trimming is an alternative option for customers who do not wish to shoe their horses or ponies, perhaps with the welfare of the horse in mind. Not all horses can cope without shoes, especially horses ridden regularly on concrete or tarmac surfaces.

In any instance, I am happy to discuss your horse or pony’s options with you and recommend a service suited to your horse on a case-by-case basis.

I am always grateful to hear kind comments from my customers. If you have any feedback you would like to add, just let me know. View all testimonials.

I am based in the quiet village of Upper Wield, and operate throughout Hampshire.
